Jolly Roger

Welcome to Jolly Roger Art. I buy artwork that people have donated, discarded, gotten sick of, tried to regift, and couldn't quite throw them in the trash. I stare deeply into the painting or photograph, and visualize a NEW piece of art. I use oil paints and put them on pretty thick. Am I an artist? Yes. Am I a good artist? No. But people have some of these pieces hanging in their homes and they really enjoy them. Each piece has a story, which I will add when I have time to update this website. Yes, you can laugh at them. And me. That's part of the fun!     

I'm always updating my Etsy site (UpcycledThriftArt.etsy.com) , so I hope you will check it out. Maybe you'll find something you like. They make great conversation pieces and gifts! I will also paint on request if you have an idea for something "really nice." They are all framed, have glass, and are different sizes. An example of the framed art is at the bottom of the page.
